The Type 4 classroom is a prefabricated, five-module learning facility designed for fast, repeatable delivery across primary and secondary school sites. The layout is organised around two generous General Learning Areas (GLA 1 and GLA 2), each approximately 66 m², supported by a dedicated Teacher Prep room (16 m²) and a multipurpose space (15 m²) to enable flexible teaching modes and small-group breakout activity. A 53 m² covered walkway creates a protected circulation edge and practical connection point for future campus integration, while the modular planning allows site-specific stair, landing and ramp configurations to be tailored to local conditions.
Standard Features
Externally, the design presents as a robust, low-maintenance school building with durable cladding and roof elements suited to high-use environments, and with compliance requirements clearly addressed for education use (Class 9B, Type C construction). The envelope and finishes are specified with materials such as Colorbond wall/roof sheeting and expressed-joint fibre cement cladding, and the internal environment is supported by acoustic ceiling systems and integrated teaching-wall joinery options (whiteboards, storage, bag racks and pinboard elements) to keep classrooms organised, functional, and ready for immediate occupation.
